Microsoft to Promote Free Software In Ghana

Hallo world.Once again from the ungracious, unbeloved, impossible, unexciting news room of the super slim thin, excessive exaggerated myopical Kofi Boakye comes the best unfiltered, remixed news.

The News: Through the nonexistent intrepid and investigative skills of our reporter it has been established(without proof of course) that Microsoft is all set with a new plan/mission  to force the govermentof Ghana to step up  and enforce its copyright , anti-piracy laws. This happened because a linux advocate who noticed the increased FREE UNPAID use of Microsoft products by many people in Ghana including companies decided to anonymously inform “Bill and the serfs”.

Results From Microsft View Point:

Doing this will ensure that people in Africa use legitimate channels to obtain Microsoft products. This will result in a strong relationship with the emerging and developing African technology market thereby leading to increased revenue and opportunities for Microsoft in its quest to dominate the world. All licencees and participants of special relationships with Microsoft are advised to switch from their normal IQs to an IQ of about 1(no offense to anyone) and to not ask questions or make challenges in order to facilitate this relationship.

 Results from Linux View Point:

Reporter: Do you know that you are supposed to pay for the copy of Microsoft Windows XP you got from a friend and installed on your computer??

Kwame Layman : What???You are supposed to pay for what?? Windows XP ??? Are you joking or bullsh*****g me ? My brother you are telling me ooooh ! Oh well who cares ? After all they cant come and catch me .Tweaa !

Enforcing copyright laws and anti-piracy laws will happily lead to the adoption of Free Software, GNU/Linux and its associates by many in Ghana. This is because in Ghana at the moment most people do not know that you are supposed to pay for or license Microsoft softwares (Microsoftwares).

Why???Well this is because in Ghana at the moment Microsoft stuff is FREE to use , copy and pass on. Need XP, Windows 2000 or OFFICE 2003 or whatever ?Just burn a copy from a friend. Thats Ghana(the GH) for you.

If Microsoft were really to enforce copyright protection laws in Ghana then I guess a lot of people ( probably the whole of Ghana ) will be guilty and have to be arrested.

Message to the Free Sofware Foundation / GNU/Linux AdvocatesWanna seriously promote the use of free software in Ghana ? ? Then you got to encourage the enforcing of copyright protection laws.
